About

Death in the Suburbs is the explosive new rock ‘n’ roll project rising from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. At its core are two musical lifers: Gordie Hrehirchuk, a dynamic force on bass, guitar, and behind the mixing board, and Nick Seguin, a raw, electrifying vocalist with a razor-sharp edge and a heart full of hooks.

Drawing sonic bloodlines from the swagger of D.A.D., the chaos-pop of The Wildhearts, and the punk-charged pulse of The Buzzcocks, Death in the Suburbs doesn’t just flirt with danger — it drags it into the garage, wires it to an amp, and lets it scream. Their sound is a jagged blast of melody and menace: a hard rock riot crashing headlong into a punk rock joyride, all soaked in gasoline and lit with matchbook poetry.

While their upcoming debut album — slated for release this fall — promises a full-throttle ride through tales of modern discontent, small-town rebellion, and beautifully wrecked dreams, the band is more than just a studio creation. Gordie and Nick are currently assembling a live lineup that can bring their thunderous, melodic fury to the stage. Grit, groove, sweat, and soul — they're building a show meant to shake the shingles off.

Death in the Suburbs isn’t nostalgia, and it isn’t just noise. It’s rebellion you can sing along to. It’s punk with polish, pop with scars, and rock ‘n’ roll that means it.

The suburbs are burning. Get ready to dance in the fire.
